The Sirocco CO2 Welding Gas Pre Heater is designed to vaporise liquid carbon dioxide from syphon-type CO2 cylinders where a greater flow rate is required than is available from standard gas take-off cylinders. It heats the CO2 gas prior to entering the regulator to prevent damage to the regulator in high-flow applications.
The Sirocco screws directly onto the cylinder valve by means of a loose CO2 nut and sealing washer. The outlet is threaded CO2 male to accept a CO2 pressure regulator.
The body is forged from class A brass bar which ensures maximum strength, serviceability and safety. The housing is made of flame-retardant PC ensuring insulation.

FAQs
What is a CO2 welding pre-heater and what does it do?
A CO2 pre-heater is a device that warms the CO2 gas before it enters the regulator. This is important because when CO2 expands from a liquid to a gas, it absorbs a lot of heat, which can cause the regulator to freeze. This can damage the regulator and stop the gas from flowing properly.
Do I need a CO2 pre-heater?
You only need a CO2 pre-heater if you are using pure CO2 gas and welding at high flow rates. If you are using a CO2 mix or welding at low flow rates, then you probably don’t need one.
What are the drawbacks of using a CO2 pre-heater?
- Adds cost to your welding setup
- Requires additional setup and maintenance
- Can be bulky and inconvenient to use
What are some things to consider when choosing a CO2 pre-heater?
- Flow rate: Make sure the pre-heater can handle the flow rate of your welding application.
- Voltage: Choose a pre-heater that is compatible with your local power supply.
- Safety features: Look for a pre-heater with safety features such as a thermostat and pressure relief valve.
- Size and portability: Consider how easy it will be to transport and use the pre-heater.
