Express Weldcare is committed to providing the highest level of customer service and support. Our 4,500 square foot distribution centre is able to offer technical advice and demonstration facilities. For customers requiring practical and safety guidance or support, our in-house technical staff are pleased to offer impartial advice, backed by an expertise acquired over many years in the industry. For over 50 years, we’ve been dedicated to providing solutions to our customers welding and cutting needs, from first-time users to experienced professionals. 1970s

Our very own Ian Orbell rejected the chance to move to Manchester with his current company and founded a small Welding company in Cobbs Quay, Poole . At this point, the company name was Weldcare Ltd, soon to be Express Weldcare Services Ltd.

1980s

The Weldcare team starts growing their local customer base, as well as the brand new addition of Jon Orbell, son of Ian.

2000s

2000 saw the opening of a brand new and much larger Weldcare HQ in Verwood, Dorset.

2010s

Express Weldcare was formed in 2010 in the premises of Express Welding Supplies after merging with Weldcare Services from Dorset.

The Merger

The decision to merge the two companies, came due in part to the retirement of Express founder Peter Halliday and Weldcare founder Ian Orbell. With both company's run very similar, the remaining directors Peter Earwaker and Jon Orbell took the decision to join forces.

Today

We enter a new era, where due to longstanding Director Peter Earwaker beginning his well earn't retirement. Newest Director Jack Orbell will be picking up the reigns in it's next exciting tenure, after joining us from from Optimas Solutions, a Class C component distributor. Jack is the 3rd generation of the family business.
