Selectarc 29/9 is a very good repair electrode for repair work on shafts, bearing seats, piston rods and groove edges, as it is very fine for application (does not weld as wide as our El312). Creates a rustproof surface. Also a good buffer electrode for hard surfacing or for mixed connections between stainless steels and unalloyed or low-alloy steels. The spring steel electrode – colour blue.
Packaging of the welding electrode: plastic box (5kg) or welded small pack of plastic film (0.5kg and 1kg)
Rutile-basic coated rod electrode (core rod alloyed) for joint welding on different steels (e.g. stainless with low-alloy steels) and steels that are difficult to weld such as tool, manganese, high-speed and spring steels. The weld metal is rustproof, has very high strength and is crack-proof, and the weld metal is also heat and scaling-resistant. Well suited for welding buffer layers before hard surfacing and for repairing cutting tools. Very nice, finely flaky weld seam, self-releasing slag. DC (+) suitable.
Note: Store in a dry place, re-drying if necessary for 2 hours at 250 ° C.
Interpass temperature: <200 ° C
