The ESAB flame retardant clothing range are designed for protection during heavy duty welding. The FR fabric material makes the garments light weight, breathable and more comfortable to wear whilst the use of leather ensures good protection against spatter and small drops of molten metal in the most exposed areas.
- Sleeves and shoulders are made of durable grade-A split leather to withstand the exposure to welding spatter
- Front and back are made from flame-retardant cotton
- Reinforced Kevlar® stitching, stand-up collar with front hook and loop fastening, adjustable sleeves and concealed inner pockets
- Double bar tacking
- Oxy-Fuel Cutting
- Plasma Cutting
- GMAW (MIG/MAG)
- GTAW (TIG)
- PAW – Plasma Arc Welding
- SMAW/MMA (Stick)
Class 2- recommended for manual welding techniques with heavy formation of spatters and drops e.g MMA welding (with basic or cellulose-covered electrode), MAG welding (CO2 or mixed gases), MIG welding (with high current), self-shielded flux cored arc welding, plasma cutting, gouging, oxygen cutting, thermal spraying for operation of machines e.g. in confined spaces, at overhead welding / cutting or in constrained positions. This clothing is intended to protect against flames, molten metal, spatter, radiant heat and short term, accidental electrical contact.
