HFT Pipestoppers® Low Profile Stoppers, a new style designed specifically for situations where there is limited pipe length. These stoppers have a low profile, allowing them to fit into pipe ends located directly on elbows or inside flanged necks of castings or other fabrications. Serving as a secure method, these stoppers effectively block pipe ends to retain gases or prevent debris and vermin from entering. When used vertically, they are particularly useful in safeguarding pipes and orifices from machining swarf or tools, thus preventing irretrievable situations.

1. How do I know when to choose between a Mechanical and an Inflatable Stopper?
HFT Pipestoppers® Inflatable Stoppers can be inserted and retracted through holes smaller than the one to be sealed. They are much less expensive than Mechanical Stoppers, but are not so suitable for applications requiring the ruggedness and strength of a Mechanical Stopper.
2. How do I prevent the stoppers from being pushed out of the pipe during a pressure test?
It is common to brace the ends of pipes to prevent stoppers sliding out. The Pipestoppers® Division of Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT® can provide further data.
3. What is the maximum temperature range for the Low Profile Stoppers?
The recommended maximum temperature for this standard range is 80ºC (176ºF).
4. What is the size range for Low Profile Stoppers?
The size range is 6 – 88″ (152 – 2,235 mm).
5. How do I inflate the Stoppers?
Each Stopper is designed and fitted with a standard Schrader valve, which will attach to any foot pump or compressor.
