Top FAQs About Helium Tanks

What sizes of Helium Tanks are available?

Our Helium Tanks are available in 2L, 9.4L, 20L, and 50L capacities to suit various needs, from small projects to large-scale events.

Are these Helium Tanks rent-free?

Yes, all our Helium Tanks are rent-free. You purchase the tank and the helium, and there are no ongoing rental charges or return deadlines.

What is helium typically used for besides inflating balloons?

Helium has diverse applications including leak detection in industrial systems, as a coolant in scientific equipment like MRI machines, as a shielding gas in welding, in aerospace for purging and pressurising systems, and in various calibration and cryogenic processes.

Is it safe to use Helium Tanks?

Yes, Helium Tanks are generally safe when handled and stored correctly. It’s crucial to follow safety guidelines, such as storing them in a well-ventilated area, keeping them upright and secured, and avoiding inhalation of the gas.

How should Helium Tanks be stored?

Helium Tanks should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area, away from heat sources and direct sunlight. They should always be stored in an upright position and secured to prevent tipping.

How do I use a Helium Tank?

Helium Tanks are designed for straightforward use. Typically, you would attach a helium regulator or inflation nozzle (sold separately if needed), slowly open the valve, and control the flow of helium as required for your application. Always refer to the manufacturer’s instructions for your specific tank.

What safety precautions should I take when using Helium Tanks?

Important safety precautions include: not inhaling helium, using in a well-ventilated area, keeping away from children, using appropriate equipment (regulators/nozzles), opening valves slowly, and ensuring the tank is secured during use and transport.

How long will the helium last in the tank if not used?

If the valve is tightly closed and the tank is stored correctly at room temperature, a Helium Tank can typically retain its helium for a significant period, potentially up to a year from the date of manufacture. However, it’s always best to use it within a reasonable timeframe.

Can I transport Helium Tanks safely?

Yes, Helium Tanks can be transported safely by ensuring they are secured in an upright position in a well-ventilated vehicle. Avoid dropping or subjecting them to rough handling. It’s best not to leave them unattended in a vehicle for extended periods.
